For some reason I just see the Bears getting the W. They have the offense and Cutler can ignite an offense just like he can tear one down. I just see the bounce back game for him and the Bears tonight. On the other side of the ball their defense was just given bullets for their guns with the Vernon Davis comments. 9ers O-Line isn't necessarily at the top they are #26 in sacks allowed and now have to face a defense with extra motivation. The 9ers have a top 5 rush defense, but a 24th ranked pass defense so they have a weakness that Cutler can exploit. The Bears are on a bad slide right now and if they want it to end in November the S.F. trip is the place. The Bears are 4-4 coming off a horrible game, but they aren't as bad as you may think because everyone let last week be the nail in the coffin. The teams they lost to were the Falcons in ATL on a Monday night(tough), the division leading Bengals in Cincy, and the division leading Cardinals(road warriors). They have beaten the teams they were supposed to and even one they shouldn't have in the Steelers in week 2. The question we have to answer is are the San Francisco 49ers a team the Bears are supposed to beat?
I think so. my .02

The last time it was the Dilfer curse. Yep.
After they won the Super Bowl they went after Elvis Garbage. Turning
their back on a QB that knew how to "Manage the game." After this the
QB position became a problem up until last season for the boys in
purple. Now...the STOVER curse. Yes. The Ravens had a reliable place
kicker for years. To be honest with you if if hadn't been for Stover
the Ravens would not have even made the playoffs the year they won the
Super Bowl because there were multiple games where they couldn't even
get an offensive TD. Last year they have Stover...ok granted he had a
bit of an off year. He missed a few kicks, but in my opinion was and
still is one of the better kickers in the NFL. Stover was loyal to the
Ravens and during this past off season waited around for them to offer
him a contract. They never did. Even after having their two place
kickers struggle during the preseason the Ravens still felt they were
better at that position. WELL THEY ARE NOT. A small prediction for the future. Matt Stover will be a valued asset
in Indianapolis this season and make great contributions for this Colts
squad. The Ravens will have a few stressful seasons upcoming at the
place kicker position starting with this season. I'm off my soapbox now, but this is the way things go sometimes when you can see the writing on the wall.
